Major Jeffrey Freedman, M.S .

Captain Freedman graduated from the United States Air force Academy in 1998 with academic honors and a degree in Aeronautical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He was also recognized as being the top student in his sub-field of Thermodynamics and Propulsion, and was elected to Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Gamma Tau engineering honor societies. He then went on to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was awarded a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics while conducting research on compressors in the Gas Turbine Laboratory.

As an officer in the United States Air Force, he attended pilot training in 2000. He has flown numerous aircraft, to include the T-37, T-1, C-21, and C-130 airframes. He is currently still on active duty flying the C-130. Captain Freedman has held a private pilot's license since 1993 and is an enthusiast of homebuilt and experimental aircraft.
