Hesham Shaalan, Ph.D

Dr. Shaalan is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, New York. He received his B.S.E.E. and M.E.E. from the University of Houston and his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), and Senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Research and teaching interests include Power Systems, Utility economics, and Software Engineering. Dr. Shaalan is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
